REBBETZEN REITZA REINMAN OF NAROL, AND HER SON RABBI CHAIM MEIR YECHIEL SHAPIRA OF NAROL, APPEAL LETTER TO EZRAS TORAH. NAROL 1935.
Appeal letter from Rebbetzen Reitza Reinman, widow of Rabbi Dov Berish Reinman, Rabbi of Narol, to the Ezras Torah relief organisation in New York asking for financial support and help towards wedding expenses of her daughter.
She mentions that the gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzenski of Vilna knows her and is aware of her situation. Her son Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel Shapira, Rabbi of Narol, adds several lines to the letter.
Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel Shapira (1907-2007), son of Rabbi Dov Berish of Narol and son-in-law of Rabbi Meshulam Zalman Yosef of Toporow. A disciple of Rabbi David Menachem Munish Babad of Tarnopol and a prominent adherent of the Rebbes of Belz. Rabbi of Narol. Escaped to Russia during WWII, spending time in Siberia and Samarkand, where he established religious facilities. Settled in Prague, where he set up a kosher kitchen for refugees, proceeding to Antwerp and then New York, before settling in Bnei Berak in 1972 and establishing the Narol Beis Hamedrash.
