Baruch Ta'am by Rabbi Baruch Frenkel Te'omim, edited by his son-in-law, the Admor Rabbi Chaim Halberstam of Sanz, with his comments, the first of his Chidushim to ever be printed. Levov 1841.
This first edition was printed anonymously wuthout the name of the Divrei Chaim wich was printed in the next editions.
Ownership signature on title page and glosses on book pages.
[3], 40, 46 pages.
Good-fair condition. Holes and canals from moths in several places with significant damage to the text in some places. Moisture stains. Time stains. A single page with cropped bottom margins on the text. In the last four pages a slight tear is stained with a tiny defect in the text.

מהדורה ראשונה זו נדפסה בעילום שמו של הדברי חיים שנדפס במהדורות הבאות.
חתימת בעלות בשער והגהה בדפי הספר.
ספר זה נערך על ידי חתן המחבר הרה"ק רבי חיים הלברשטאם מצאנז, שהוסיף את הערותיו על דברי חותנו ואף כתב הקדמה לספר. וכפי שכותב בהקדמתו "ולערך שנה אחת הייתי אתו למדנו כמעט רוב הש"ס עם הראשונים וכל שעה הראנו גדולות ונפלאות בפלפולו".
בספר הסכמות חשובות בהם מבעל חתם סופר שכותב בהסכמתו שבן המחבר אינו צריך הסכמתו לספר "להזריח שמש ואור יקרות", וכופל בזה שאין צריך הסכמתו. והסכמות נוספות מרבי נחום טרייביטיש אב"ד ניקלשבורג ומרבי אלעזר הלוי איש הורוויץ מווין.
הרה"ק רבי ברוך פרנקל תאומים מלייפניק, [תק"כ-תקפ"ח] בנו של רבי יהושע יחזקאל רבה של אוסטרובצא, תלמיד רבי משולם איגרא, מגדולי צדיקי דורו, חמיו של הדברי חיים מצאנז, חיבר מספר ספרים שהמפורסם שבהם הוא ספרו זה ברוך טעם.

מצב טוב-בינוני. נקבי ותעלות עש, במספר מקומות עם פגיעה משמעותית בטקסט. כתמי רטיבות. כתמי זמן. דף בודד עם שוליים תחתונים קצוצים על הטקסט. בארבעת הדפים האחרונים קרע קל מוכתם עם חסרון זעיר בטקסט.
