Fine ink signature ('R Walpole') on a small oblong 8vo piece evidently clipped from a manuscript treasury document, bearing the place and date Whitehall Treasury [Cham]bers, 14th September 1721. Also bearing the countersignatures of two Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, George Baillie (1664-1738, Scottish politician) and Richard Edgcumbe (1680-1758, 1st Baron Edgcumbe, English Politician).
