LYAUTEY LOUIS HUBERT: (1854-1934) French General and Marshal of France. First French Resident-general in Morocco 1912-25. Minister of war in 1917 during World War One. A good 6 x 8 signed and inscribed photograph, matted folding presentation, the well-known image showing Lyautey seated in a half-length pose, wearing his military uniform. Signed in bold black ink, the inscription partially to a darker area of the image, and the signature to the lower light matted border. Also dated in his hand, 1929.
