Long sermon printed on a large sheet, in honour of Sir Moses Montefiore, on his return from a special mission to the East. The author criticizes the contemporary state of the British rabbinate and Anglo Jewish life, and proposes the establishment of a Rabbinical Seminary to be named in Montefiore’s honour, to provide rabbinical leaders for the local community.
