CHALIER JOSEPH: (1747-1793) French Revolutionist. While living in Paris, Chalier became acquainted with Marat and Robespierre. Leader of the Jacobins of Lyon. Guillotined. Rare D.S., `Chalier´, one page, 8vo, Lyon, 30th January 1792, in French. The partially printed document is a patent receipt, acknowledging the payment of twelve pounds. Bearing an ink stamp to the upper right corner. With two additional countersignatures and a third one to the verso. Overall age wear, with irregular edges. G £600-900
