ISOUARD NICOLAS: (1773-1818) Also known as ''Nicolo di Malta''. French-Maltese Composer. A good and rare A.L.S., Nicolo, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., in French. Isouard sends concert tickets to an unidentified recipient, stating in part ` Je vous envoie un billet pour ce soir et vous enverrai d´autres…´ ("I send to you a pass for this evening and will send you further ones.."), further and referring to his correspondent´s wife, he apologizes and says ` J´ai bien des torts a réparer aupres de Madame, mais j´espere qu´elle me pardonnera lorsque j´aurai parlé..´ ("I have many mistakes to sort out with Madame, but I do hope she will forgive me once I have spoken..") With addressee´s name, in Isouard´s name, to the address leaf, with small hole due to the letter opening. Small overall age wear, otherwise G
