SARTRE JEAN PAUL: (1905-1980) French Philosopher & Novelist. A highly influential and leading figure in the Philosophy of existentialism and Marxism. Although he refused to receive the award, Sartre was appointed Nobel laureate in Literature, 1964. T.L.S., `Lu et approuvé - J.Sartre´, two pages, folio, Buenos Aires, 11th April 1957, in Spanish, with an additional typed clause in French. The document being a a translation contract between the ''Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques de Paris'', on behalf of Jean Paul Sartre, and Ricardo Risetti and Gabriella Grosso as translators, the whole related to Sartre´s work L´Engranage, (1946). Signed at the base by Sartre and the rest of participants. Matted in black, alongside a colour 8 x 10 photograph of Sartre, to an overall size of 17 x 12. Easily removable. VG £200-300
