SCHMITT HARRISON: (1935- ) American astronaut, Lunar Module Pilot of the Apollo XVII mission (1972) and the twelfth man to walk on the Moon. Signed and inscribed colour 10 x 8 photograph, the official NASA image depicting Schmitt standing in a full-length pose, wearing his spacesuit, on the surface of the Moon at the Apollo XVII landing site. The United States flag can be seen in the foreground and the Lunar Module Challenger and a Lunar Roving Vehicle appear in the immediate background. Signed by Schmitt in bold black ink to the image, further adding Apollo 17 in his hand beneath his signature. One very slight, minor crease to the lower left corner of the white border, VG
