LOUIS PHILIPPE I: (1773-1850) King of the French 1830-48, the penultimate undisputed monarch of France. L.S., Louis Philippe D, one page, small 4to, Paris, 20th March 1839, to Baron Mounier, in French. The King writes to inform his correspondent 'que l'ouverture de la Session des Chambres est fixee au mardi vingt six mars prochain en que vous devez y assister' (Translation: 'that the opening of the Session of the Chambers is fixed for next Tuesday, 26th March, and that you must attend'). Countersigned at the foot by Felix Barthe (1795-1863) French lawyer who served as Secretary of State for Justice and Religious Affairs 1837-39. A few very minor, light creases, VG
