BRUNE GUILLAUME MARIE ANNE: (1763-1815) Marshal of France. Assassinated. D.S., Brune, one page, large folio, Costes Franio, 12th January 1801, to Amant Blachere, in French. The partially printed document bears the heading of the army of Italy, and Brune, in his capacity as Chief General appoints Captain Blachere Chief of Battalion, stating `..on the battle field, as an award for his bravery, his behaviour..having fought in the besiege of Toulon campaign, where he was injured..´ Folded.
