The story of Malvern, Chester County,
Pennsylvania begins in the year 1866. The
ground on which the town is now located
was a large farm owned by Issac Ruth.
In 1873 it was purchased by David Evans
who was the founder of Malvern. In 1889
Malvern was incorporated into a borough.
This plate is offered in commemoration
of Malvern's 75th anniversary of its incor-
poration, being designed by Clyde В. Mer-
cer Jr. and sponsored by the 75th Anniversary
Committee.
