Rare photograph - a Jewish Austrian family during the Holocaust, wearing yellow badges - alongside their soldier son who served as a conscript in the Austrian army that fought alongside the Nazi German army. Austria, circa 1942.

Here is a rare photograph of a Jewish family in Austria after 1941, when Austrian Jews were required to wear the yellow star, alongside their son who served in the Austrian army in forced labor in the Sixth Regiment.

Some 1,000 Jews served in three companies of the Sixth Regiment, and were subordinate to the Labor Units Command, headed by Major-General Ladislas Budzki.

This photograph is exceedingly rare!

The photograph is accompanied by a photograph of the expulsion of the Jews of Sieradz on a postcard, apparently immediately after World War II.

A photograph of the members of the Maccabi Club in one of the cities of Europe, and behind the photograph the names of the members.

Photographs of children in Purim costumes astride a donkey, apparently from the 1930s.

And there are some nice photographs appended to many family photographs which may have come from the same source and a number of documents, not investigated by us.

לפנינו תצלום נדיר, של משפחה יהודית באוסטריה לאחר שנת 1941, רק אז חויבו יהודי אוסטריה לענוד על בגדם טלאי צהוב, לצד בנם ששירת בצבא אוסטריה הרשמי בעבודות כפייה במסגרת 'הגדוד השישי'.

כאלף יהודים שירתו בשלוש פלוגות בגדוד השישי, והם היו כפופים למפקדת יחידות העבודה בראשות האלוף לדיסלו בודצקי.
