In this book were printed the seventh and eighth She'arim if the eighth She'arim authored by Rabbi Chaim Vital from the teachings of the Arizal.
Brought to the printing house by Rabbi Yosef Vital and Rabbi Yitzhak Calamaro.
One of the early Kabbalah books printed in Jerusalem.
On several pages of the book are glosses in script from the period of printing. One of them (page 4) reads: "ועי' בחו' בב"מ מ"ש בזה".

בספר זה נדפסו השער השביעי - שער רוח הקודש, והשמיני - שער הגלגולים, משמונה שערים שחיבר רבי חיים ויטאל.
הביאו לבית הדפוס: רבי יוסף ויטאל והרב יצחק קאלאמארו.
מספרי הקבלה המוקדמים שנדפסו בירושלים.
בכמה דפים בספר מצויות הגהות בכת"י מתקופת ההדפסה. באחת מהן (דף לד) נכתב: "ועי' בחו' בב"מ מ"ש בזה".
