Porcelain sign / Enamel sign, stenciled and lithographed, GER 1919, 98 x 66 cm, Boos & Hahn-Offenburg, one of the first pieces produced by the newly founded enameling factory at the time, only two examples are still known, they differ only marginally in condition, this one impresses with its beautiful shine and very good colour strength, the surface only shows signs of age to the left of the three and on the lower edge. If one compares the motif with similar depictions of Sarotti, they are much more succinctly executed here. The design was created by Julius Gipkens, an early master of German applied art.
