NSU AUTOMOBILE
Porcelain sign / enamel sign, convex, stenciled and lithographed, Neckarsulm c. 1920, 48 x 68 cm, Ferro Enamel - C. Robert Dold, Offenburg i.B., signed: Dipl. Ing. von Loewe Steglitz, high gloss surface, best colours, small hit above the vehicle. This is the pinnacle of German automobile advertising, for although almost 80 automobile manufacturers were known at the time, only a few vehicle depictions on tin or Porcelain signs are known - this "NSU Automobile" is therefore considered the most exclusive vehicle advertisement of the 1920s. The pair of open limousines drive through the picture in a race with each other, and the lettering also has a certain dynamism. The colouring does the rest, even from a distance the automobiles are brightly visible. GERMAN DESCRIPTION:Emailschild, gewölbt, schabloniert und lithographiert, Neckarsulm um 1920, 48 x 68 cm, Ferro Email - C. Robert Dold, Offenburg i.B., signiert: Dipl. Ing. von Loewe Steglitz, hochglänzende Oberfläche, beste Farben, kleiner Treffer oberhalb des Fahrzeugs. Es handelt sich hierbei um die Spitze deutscher Automobilreklame, denn obwohl seinerzeit fast 80 Automobilhersteller bekannt waren, sind nur wenige Fahrzeugdarstellungen auf Blech- oder Emailschildern bekannt - dieses "NSU Automobile" gilt daher als die exklusivste Fahrzeugreklame der 20er Jahre. Im Wettrennen miteinander fährt das Paar offener Limousinen hier durch das Bild, auch die Schriften haben eine gewisse Dynamik. Die Farbgebung tut ihr übriges, schon aus der Ferne sind die Automobile leuchtend zu erkennen.
