Porcelain sign / enamel sign, stenciled and reprinted, Hanover circa 1960, 147 x 80 cm, Pyro Email, Boos & Hahn, Ortenberg/Baden. One can almost claim that this is the most popular automobilia sign of the post-war period - it has now achieved absolute cult status. While the much smaller versions in Tin already fetch handsome four-digit sums, this imposing example stands for the love of the driver for his vehicle like no other. When the sign is available in such fine condition, the collector's heart rejoices. GERMAN DESCRIPTION:Emailschild, abgekantet, schabloniert und umgedruckt, Hannover um 1960, 147 x 80 cm, Pyro-Email, Boos & Hahn, Ortenberg/Baden. Man kann fast behaupten, dass es sich hierbei um das beliebteste Automobilia-Schild der Nachkriegszeit handelt - es hat mittlerweile absoluten Kultstatus erlangt. Erzielen die deutlich kleineren Versionen in Blech bereits stattliche vierstellige Beträge, steht dieses imposante Exemplar plakativ wie kein zweites für die Liebe des Fahrers zu seinem Gefährt. Wenn das Schild dann noch in solch feiner Erhaltung zu haben ist, freut sich das Sammlerherz.
