BLEYLE'S KNABEN-ANZÃœGE
Porcelain sign / enamel sign, heavy backing material, convex, thickly stenciled, the knee depiction finely lithographed, Stuttgart circa 1917, 40 x 60 cm, even though I may repeat myself (on the pages of this auction catalogue), the is condition fantastic, gloss and colours perfectly preserved, minimal scratches in the lettering cause me to give the extremely harsh rating Z (1). If you look closely, you can see the lettering "S.M.S. Moeve" on the boy's sailor's cap, a famous auxiliary cruiser of the Kaiser's navy from the First World War. GERMAN DESCRIPTION:Emailschild, schweres Trägermaterial, gewölbt, dick schabloniert, die Knabendarstellung fein lithographiert, Stuttgart um 1917, 40 x 60 cm, auch wenn ich mich (auf den Seiten dieses Auktionskataloges) wiederholen mag, der ist Zustand fantastisch, Glanz und Farben perfekt erhalten, minimalste Kratzerchen im Schriftzug veranlassen mich zur äußerst harten Bewertung Z (1). Bei genauem Hinsehen erkennt man auf der Matrosenmütze des Jungen den Schriftzug "S.M.S. Moeve", eines berühmten Hilfskreuzers der Kaisermarine aus dem ersten Weltkrieg.
