Handwritten and signed letter by the great Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi Wosner, Av Beit Din of Zichron Meir, Bnei Brak, 1972. Postcard.
The letter was sent to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Belhom on the occasion of the printing of his father's book, She'erit Yehudah. Inter alia, the gaon Rabbi Wosner writes: 'And happy is he who has been privileged to make a name and remnant for his father, the gaon and tzaddik, as this is a mitzvah for a person in this and the next (worlds) ... There are many Torah thoughts brought in his name in the book by his grandfather the gaon of Israel, Rabbi Amram, zy"a ...'
Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi Wosner. 1913-2015. Among the most prominent halachic adjudicators. Author of the Shevet HaLevi responsa and the Shevet HaLevi novellae on Shas and on Torah. He served as Av Beit Din and mara d'atra (head neighborhood rabbi) in the Zichron Meir neighborhood, and he was rosh yeshivah of Chachmei Lublin in Bnei Brak.
