Nefesh HaChaim, Vilna, 1837. Copy that Belonged to the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer

Nefesh HaChaim - topics in mussar, Kabbalah and deep Jewish thought by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin, leading and primary disciple of the Vilna Gaon. Second edition, edited by his son Yitzchak. Vilna, 1837.

This edition established the format for all subsequent editions of the book. There were changes made to several words in this edition so as to avoid offending certain groups. It is one of the fundamental works that shapes the Torah Weltanschauung of the Lithuanian yeshivahs.
