Old map of Silesia framed behind glass in a gilded wooden arm. Detailed depiction of Silesia with the Oder as the central object. Allegorical depiction with coat of arms and scaling at bottom left, inscribed at top right: "Ducatus SILESIAE Tabula." with allusion to the nature of Silesia. Map frame with geographical data. Published under the auspices of the Jesuit Order: Studio et opera cujusdam Geographi Societ. IESU. and J.A. Pfeffel etc. Engelbrecht fec. et exc. Vien. Measures approx. 38 x 29.5 cm. Good condition with traces of age and use, frame with color flaking.
