Henry Dasson (1825-1896) acquired the workshop of the late Charles Winckelsen from his widow in July 1871. In the following years he created, among other things, copies of furniture from the royal collection from the 18th century. He took part in several world exhibitions and was awarded a gold medal several times.

"[...] Henri Dasson, has quickly established a very high position through the perfection of his works, to which we warmly applaud." (Ledoux-Lebard (1989) p.148).
