Letter signed (48) by the great rabbis of Jerusalem against the National Committee - 1935.
A letter signed by 48 rabbis and rabbis of Jerusalem, in a huge protest against the Ashkenazi city council, which wants to join the National Committee.
In this letter, written in the month of Nisan 1935, the rabbis protest against the Ashkenazi city council that sought to connect with the National Committee, which was the executive branch of the British Parliament during the British Mandate, and was elected by the members of the Assembly of Representatives in 1920 In 1928 he was recognized by the British Mandate as a representative of the Jewish community, and Agudat Yisrael and the ultra-Orthodox community refused to participate in the committee because of general opposition to Zionism and disagreements regarding Jewish ritual slaughter.
