מכתב מרבי שלמה יהודה ליב לעוויטאן. רוק איילנד, אילינוי. תשי"א.
הרב שלמה יהודה ליב הלוי לעוויטאן - היה רבם של קהילות ישורון ברוק איילנד (אילינוי) והסביבה. הוא חיבר את הספרים, שיח חן (תשכ"ד) ויריעות שלמה (תשכ"ח).
הנמען הרב ישראל פורת - (ה'תרמ"ו, 1886 - ה'תשל"ד, 1974) היה תלמיד חכם ירושלמי, מתלמידי הראי"ה קוק. הרב האשכנזי היחיד שהוצע אי פעם לכהן במשרת החכם באשי. כיהן במשך כחמישים שנה כרב מרכזי בקליבלנד, אוהיו. מחבר הספר "מבוא התלמוד".
