שער מיוחד לספר משחת אהרן. בדפים לב-לג: פיוטים, מאת רבי אהרן פרץ. בראש הפיוט האחרון: פיוט לפטירת משה רבינו עליו השלום.

המחבר רבי אהרן פרץ. (נפטר בשנת תקכ"ו) רב ראשי בגרבה, מגדולי תלמידיו של הגאון הקדוש רבי צמח הכהן. נודע כחכם מובהק ומעמיק בנגלה ובנסתר, והיה בעל מופתים. שימש אב בית הדין, וראש רבני ג'רבה. ייסד ישיבה והעמיד תלמידים הרבה, ובתוכם בנו החכם חזקיה פרץ, חכם שאול הכהן, וחכם צמח הכהן אברי"ש. היה בקי בחכמת השירה והדקדוק. וחיבר פיוטים רבים, מהם נדפסו בספר שלפנינו,
על המחבר, ראה: בנימין רפאל כהן, מלכי תרשיש, נתיבות תשמ"ו, עמ’ שנו-שנט. תולדות ר’ פרץ מג’רבה ופיוטיו, מיכל שרף, איילת חשקי כלילת יופי, לוד תשנ"ד.
בדף השער הראשון חתימות בעלים למשפחת קורקיס, ר' יוסף ור' ראובן.
בתחילת הספר מכתב לחזקיהו, כעין מפתח לספר בכתב יד.
