Yair - A Booklet about Avraham Stern - 1944
Published by "The National Military Organization in the Land of Israel" (Irgun).
A booklet in memory of Avraham Stern who was also known by his underground nickname "Yair" (after Elazar ben Yair, one of the commanders of the great revolt against the Romans in Masada). Stern (1907-1942) was a poet, and an underground fighter, one of the founders of the Irgun. In 1942 he was captured by the British police and shot dead. The booklet includes a portrait of him, and texts about his life, work and person, as well as excerpts from his sayings and poems.
Hebrew, 54 pages, 21X16 cm. fair condition: back cover is missing, stains, tears, front cover partially detached.
