* גרובמן (נ. 1939) הוא אמן יליד ברית המועצות, פעיל תנועת האוונגרד השני, ומתנגד לשלטון הסובייטי שעלה לישראל בשנת 1971. כאן הוא עשה לעצמו שם כאחד האמנים המעניינים ביותר של תקופתו, כולל בתחום הפרפורמנס. בשנת 1975 הקים את קבוצת "לוויתן" יחד עם שמואל אקרמן ואברהם אופק, ששאפה ליצירה ישראלית עצמאית, חופשית מהשפעות המערב.
