Customs of Israelites and Christians - By Claude Fleury - France 1844
Moeurs des Isrealies et des Chretiens par M. L'Abbe Fleury.

The two famous essays of the French historian Claude Fleury (1640-1723), dealing with the ancient customs of the Israelites and the Christians. The books were originally published in 1681 and 1682. Moeurs des Isrealies is considered the first book in which were wtiten praise of the Jews without prejudice. Includes an illustration opposite the title page.
French, 306 pp., 18X12 cm. Reasonable condition: rust stains, defects in the cover.
