Resolutions of the 19th Zionist Congress - Lucerne, 1935

Booklet of the 19th Zionist Congress held between August 20 and September 4, 1935 in Switzerland. The congress took place during the fifth aliyah, when 400,000 Jews had already immigrated to Israel, and during the rise of the Nazis to power in Germany and the growing anti-Semitism throughout Europe. Among the participants in the congress were Dr. Chaim Weizman, David Ben-Gurion (then chairman of the Jewish Agency), Menachem Osishkin, Moshe Sharet, Eliezer Kaplan and more. The Congress dealt with issues such as settlement, immigration, work, Histadrut, education and culture.
