Henry Kendall - Village Development in Palestine During the British Mandate - London 1949
Published by the Crown Agents for the Colonies, London, 1949.
A rare book by Henry Kendall (1903-1983) who was a British architect and urban planner, whose work focused mainly on Britain's colonies. He was active in the British Mandate in Palestine between 1936-1948 and at that time was responsible for zonong plans in Jerusalem, Beer Sheva, Gaza and Jaffa. A beautiful and comprehensive book that includes photographs, plans and maps. At the end of the book there is a pocket with a map of Israel.
English, 84 pp., 26x21 cm. Good condition: a few spots of rust, a few tears in the dust-jacket.
