The book includes 12 plates with very beautiful color illustrations of landscapes in the Land of Israel: Bethlehem, Nazareth, the Jordan River, Tiberias, Jericho, Gaza and more. In addition, a few more small engravings in the text. Elegant leather binding with gold decorations.
Henry Baker Tristram was an English clergyman, naturalist, scholar, traveler and ornithologist. One of the first European explorers who arrived in the Land of Israel in the 19th century.
English, 27X21 cm. Overall good condition: peeling on the spine of the cover, a few spots of rust.
