Edgar Allan Poe's Poems - Handwritten and Illustrated by a Nazi inmate in an American POW Camp - Hardcover notebook made from a German POW camp in America during World War II. This is the ”Robinson” camp established in the state of Arkansas in the United States in 1940. The prisoner, Fritz Steinhage, wrote in a notebook, in perfect calligraphy, Po's poem ”The Raven” in German, as well as the poem ”Ulalume” in German and English. There are 13 pages with wonderful illustrations made in black ink, mimicking the style of engraving illustrations. In them an illustration of the black crow, sitting on top of a skull - with the shadow of the crow drawing the shape of a swastika. A completely unusual and unique item. On the first two pages there is a stamp: ”Passed By US Army Examiner”, on the fourth page the prisoner Steinhage wrote his name and the details of the camp.
