Schlump - A Pacifist Novel Shelved and Burned by the Nazis, 1928 - Geschichten und Abenteuer aus dem Leben des unbekannten Musketiers Emil Schulz, genannt ”Schlump”, Kurt Wolff verlag, Munchen, 1928. ”Stories and Adventures from the Life of the Unknown Musketeer Emil Schultz, Known as 'Schlump'”, a pacifist novel about the First World War published anonymously (it later became known that the author was Hans Herbert Grimm), and describes the writer's experiences. The book was banned from sale by the Nazis in 1933 and later burned. On this copy is a strip mentioning the book was published by an unknown soldier. On the cover is a modernist style illustration of soldiers standing in line. In 2013 the book gained renewed popularity when Grimm admitted to being the author of the book.
