Schlemiel - Illustrierte Jüdische Witzblatt 1903-1904 - Schlemiel- Illustrated Jewish Witzblatt, edited by DR. MAX JUNGMSNN, first year - 1903, booklets 1 + 2 and second year - 1904, all 12 booklets. Here are the first 14 pamphlets of Schlemiel, a newspaper for Jewish humor and art, which was published in Berlin during the breaks between 1903-1920. The booklets are bound together. In the early years of the paper many jokes and satires were published on current affairs in Zionism such as the Uganda program (most booklets open with a ”letter” to the Schlemiel editorial room, a kind of report from the New Land in Uganda, undersigned, MBWAPWA JUMBO UGANDA and accompanied by an illustration of a black Jew). Also, many jokes about  Herzl, Nordau and other Zionist public figures, many cartoons, advertisements of Jewish businesses, songs and short stories. The paper was written by Max Jungman, Sami Groniman, Emil Simmonson, Theodor Zelocisti and others. First year - two booklets, November December, 1903. Second year - 12 booklets, 1904. 134 p.
