“Responsa and His Methods”. Mantua, 1730
Responsa from Maran the Beit Yosef on topics of Even Ha’ezer, “Responsa and his methods” – Mantua, 1730 – ancient glosses.
Ancient signature on the title page: “the youngest of the multitudes of Judea… Yudel Halevi Eps(tein?)… 1835”.
At the end of the Sefer, on pg. 65a are printed responsa “from my uncle the renowned Rabbi Yitzchak Karo OBM”, and there is a gloss there where the author tries to find more regarding this uncle of Maran the Beit Yosef.
66 (should be 67) pp. 31cm. Wear and moisture stains. Old binding, partially detached. Good-fair condition.
