Sefer Ma’aseh Tuvya – Venice, 1707, with many illustrations – First Edition.
The Sefer deals with Astronomy, Research, Medicine and Anatomy, written by Rabbi Dr. Tuvya Katz. Considered the first Hebrew medical text.
Many drawings and illustrations. On verso of the title page is a woodcut portrait of the author at age 48.On page 106a is a detailed illustration of the human anatomy and internal organs with a comparison to a multi-storied building.
Separate title pages for each of the three sections, all in one volume.
[6] 158pp. 22 cm. Stains. Water and age stains and slight mold marks. Light restoration of a few pages with no damage to text. Restored, antique binding. Good condition.
