Includes approbations from contemporary Geonim: his father, the ‘Shemen Roke’ach’, Rabbi Mordechai Bennet, Rabbi Akiva Eiger, the Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Yaakov, Av Beis Din of Lisa, author of ‘Netivot Hamishpat’, Rabbi Baruch Frankel-Theumim, the ‘Baruch ta’am’, and Rabbi Efraim Zalman Margolis of Brod, the ‘Beis Efraim’.

The Gaon Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Lev (1772-1851) – son of the Gaon Rabbi Eliezre Lev, author of the ‘Shemen Roke’ach’. Served as Rabbi in Rushpitza and Amshenov in Poland, Kolin in Bohemia, and Topoľčany and Vrbové in Slovakia. Author of ‘Sha’arei Torah’.
