84 leaves. Owner's signatures of the flyleaf and title page. 


The Gaon Rabbi Moshe Akmosnino (ca. 1516-1580) a son of a Converso family whose origin was Aragon. Was born in Salonika, Greece and was a student at the yeshiva of Rabbi Yosef Taitotzak. Was knowledgeable of science, philosophy and medicine. Served as Rav in Salonika and authored dozens of books in Hebrew and Spanish, commentary, Drush, Halachic and philosophy books. Many of his writings were lost. Some were printed in his books Pirkei Moshe (Salonika, 1563) on Tractate Avot, Hanhagat Hachim (Salonika, 1564) and more.
