Copy of the Tzemach of Vizhnitz! Limudei Atzilus, from a manuscript by the Divine Kabbalist Rabbeinu Chaim Vital which was hidden in the library of the holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Sofer of Pshevorsk. First edition, Lemberg, 1860.
The personal, signed copy of the holy Rav Rabbi Mendel of Viznitz the author of Tzemach Tzaddik.
On the back guard sheet it was handwritten 'This Sefer belongs to the Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel the son of the Tzaddik ... of Kosov'.
The holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz [1830-1885] the son of Maran the holy Rav Rabbi Chaim the Toras Chaim of Kosov and the son-in-law of the holy Rav of Ruzhin. The Rav of Vizhnitz near Kosov where he established his community after his father's passing. The Vizhnitz dynasty began with him and thousands flocked to his court to hear his prayers, observed hi Avodah and receive his blessings. All the Tzaddikim of his generation greatly praised his charity and Torah genius.
