Shulchan Aruch of the Kaf HaChaim Many Handwritten Glosses Notations by the Gaon Rabbi Ovadya Yosef in His Childhood

Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, section II, Lemberg 1860 edition. Dozens of glosses handwritten by the Gaon Kabbalist and great Posek Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer, the author of Kaf HaChaim.

A fascinating discovery on the inside title page: a notation in the typical pearly script of the great Gaon the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Ovadya Yosef: The Shoshanim LeDavid Synagogue of Jerusalem in Eretz Yisroel and varied Arabic notations.

In his childhood, Rabbi Ovadya Yosef used to study Torah at the well-known synagogue Shoshanim LeDavid which was established by Maran the Kaf HaChaim. In 1928, when he was a small child and was studying in the synagogue, the sysnagogue was partly destroyed by an earthquake. The one who rescued the child from the wreckage was the Gaon rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer himself!

This Sefer is testimony of Rabbi Ovadya's studies at the synagogue and his connection to Maran the Kaf HaChaim.

Dozens of glosses, apparently more than a hundred glosses, including references to his other Seforim such as Shut Be'er Mayim Chaim and more. Many references.

Ownership stamp of Maran the Kaf HaChaim on the upper part of the title page.

[1], 1-101, 1-75, 1-38, 44 cm. Wear to the title page. Extensive dampness stains. Slight wear. Good condition.
