Protocol of an assembly of the rabbis of Romania headed and signed by the Tzaddikim of Bohush, the rabbis Roller and Shafran and more with the Chief Rabbi Dr. Nimirover, the establishment of a union of rabbis in Romania. Iyar, 1920.
Complete and special protocol of the assembly of rabbis that took place in Bucharest in Iyar 1920. Among the leading participants were the Admor the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel Sholom Yosef of Bohush, the Pe'er Yisroel, his son-in-law and successor the holy Rav Rabbi David Twersky of Bohush, the Gaon Rabbi Bezalel Ze'ev Shafran of Bacau, the Geonim brothers Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Roller of Niametz and his brother Rabbi Ben-Zion Roller of Bohush, Rabbi C.L. Lebel and of course the Chief Rabbi of Romania Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Nimirover. The handwritten signatures of Maran the holy Rav the Pe'er Yisroel, his son-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi David and the Geonim rabbis of Romania appear on the back of the protocol.
The protocol states that Maranan the following Admorim should be consulted and signed: of Botoshan, Adzhor, Poshkan, Shtefanesht, Jassi, Heilperin of Bucharest [apparently referring to the Admor the holy Rav Rabbi Chaim Dov of Vesloi] and additional rabbis.
The assembly discussed varied Jewish matters including Shochatim and Bodkim and Kashrus in Romania and the burning issue in those days.
The protocol presents things that were said by Maran the holy Rav the Pe'er Yisroel and his son-in-law, the holy Rav Rabbi David of Bohush, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai Zussia of Trsisk-Hotzalis-Jassi, the son of the daughter of the holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak of Bohush [the first] and the son-in-law of his uncle the Pe'er Yisroel. The holy Rav Rabbi David dealt with many public matters, establishing many organizations and institutions for the poor as well as educational and charity institutions and was the president of the Beis Tisroel yeshiva in Bohush with his brother-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Bohush. Both succeeded their father-in-law as Admorim after his passing in 1923.
