The personal copy of the head of the Koidanov dynasty. 'Or HaMeir' - First edition - forged, Koretz, 1798.

Or Hameir. Chassidus. Drushimn and Remazin in the Torah, Megikos and other Jewish festivals. Authored by the holy Rav the Admor Rabbi Wolf of Zhitomir. According to the title page, this is the Koretz [1798] edition; however, actually its is a fotged edition that was printed approx. fifteen years later. See below.

The holy copy of the holy Rav of Koidanov:

The hole, pedigreed copy from which the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo Chaum the Alter Admor of Koidanov had studied.

One of the greatest Tzaddikim of all generations, a beloved grandson of the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Lechovich and the successor of him and his son the holy Rav Rabbi Noah. Thousands came to see and feel his devoted Avodah. Was known as a wonder worker.

On the title page, his grandson Rabbi Yitzchak wrote: 'מאא"ז מו"ר זי"ע יצחק מקאיידאנאוו', and on the front flyleaf, it is also written: 'להרב שלמה חיים...'

Much was written in Chassidic Sefroim about the importance of the holy Sefer 'Or HaMeir', one of the first Chassidic Seforim.

On the title page of the Sefer it was written by his disciple the holy Rav Rabbi Eliezer Zhitomirer that he adhered to his Creator at all times, walking and sitting. The holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin also stated the importance of the Sefer as well as other Tzaddikim of Chassidus.

The Sefer was enthusiastically approbated by the holy Rav of Berditchev as well as by additional Tzaddikim of the generation.

The year of printing of this edition:

This edition appears to be the first edition of the Sefer that was printed in Koretz in 1798 and indeed the Sefer is printed just as that edition. However, it is common knowledge that the printer tried to change the approbations in the which the Tzaddikim of the generation, the approbating rabbis, wrote that it is forbidden to reprint or copy the Sefer for 15 years. He added five years to their prohibition so that the printing rights will remain his.

Already in 1815, in the Poretzk edition, it was written that 'there's been a mistake' in this edition. Scholars assume that the Sefer was printed in ca. 1810.

Bluish paper. Stains. Original leather binding, fragile and repaired. Good condition.
