Letter of request and blessing by the Gaon Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman to the Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Yehoshua Herzberg. Handwritten and signed by him. Tel Aviv, (1934).
"They visited me on the eve of Sabbath and then again yesterday ... they urged me to write to you ... they did not leave me until I was forced to promise them that I will write today that you will not insist against them". A letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman, with a request to assist with the request of the people who visited him. Tel Aviv, (1934).

The great Gaon Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman (1850-1939), the "Viershover Rov", the leader of the Chassidim of Maran the Holy Rav the Imrei Emes of Gur in Eretz Yisroel. Studied at the yeshiva of Rabbi Sholom Zvi Hacohen in Zagirsh and at the yeshiva of the Holy Rav the Avnei Nezer and was a disciple of Rabbi Yehoshua of Kotna. A leading Chassid and confidante of the Sefas Emes and the Imrei Emes of Gur. Served as Rosh Yeshiva in Warta and as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Kozhminka and Viershov. During World War I, he was appointed Rosh Av Beis Din of Lodz. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel from Poland in 1924. Was a member of the Tel Aviv Rabbinate and the leader of the Gur Chassidim in Eretz Yisroel. The in-law of of Rabbi Avraham Motl Alter who was the in-law of the Holy Maran the Admor the "Pnei Menachem" of Gur.
The Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Yehoshua Herzberg, a Gur Chassid and member of the council of the Chief Rabbinate of Tel Aviv. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel from Poland in 1922 and served as Rav of the industrial zone of Tel Aviv for forty years. The Rav was renowned for the religious Seforim "Shem Olam" and "Bris Keruta" and served as Rosh Yeshiva of the first yeshiva for youth in Bnei Berak whoch was established in 1930.
Fold marks, aging stains, in some of the words the ink has slightly smeared. Fair-good condition.
