51, [1] pp. 20 cm. With an illustration of the building of the Yeshiva in Baranovitz. Yiddish. 


Rabbi Elchonon Bonem wasserman [1876-1941] studied at the Telz Yeshiva and with Rabbi Chaim of Brisk and Maran the Chofetz Chai, in Radin. Served as Ram in Amtshislov, Brisk and the Smilovitz yeshiva. in [1921], he moved to Poland and established the "Ohel Torah" yeshiva in Baranovitz. Was renowned as a Gaon, Tzaddik, who took part in all public matters and was one of the leaders of Agudas Yisroel. In [1938] he travelled to the USA to raise funds for the yeshiva. There he published the famous booklet "Ikveta DeMeshicha" in which he forewarned of the danger expected if the Jews shall not repent. The rav returned to Poland and after its occupation by the Germans, escaped with a group of disicples to Lithuania. Th eRav was taken from the Kovno ghetto and was killed on Kiddush Hashem on the 11th of Tamuz 1941.
