Totzos Chaim, Kitzur Sefer HaKodesh Reshis Chochma, Zhitomir, 1858


Totzos Chaim, Kitzur Sefer HaKodesh Reshis Chochma by Rabbi Eliyahu Di Vidas, one of the disciples of the Ramak, printed by the Zhitomir Printing Press which was known for its holiness and importance, Zhitomir, 1858.


"Rabbi Eliyahu authored this Sefer to constitute an opening to those who wish to study the Torah of his Rav - the Ramak, in order for peope to be G-d-fearing and complete before studying Toras HaSod, after the verse "Reshis Chocham Yiras Hashem". This  pocket-edition of the Kitzur was designated "to enable any man to study it when resting at home or walking by the way" - as stated on the title page. 


Ownership notation on the last leaf: "This Siddur belongs to David Yuda Auerbach", possibly, Rabbi David Yehuda a descendant of the Toldos Yaakov Yosef and the grandfather of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. 


40 leaves, 16 cm. 

Stains, professional retoration, elegant semi-leather binding, general condition: good-very good.
