Subasta Bidspirit | An antique Caucasian Kilim Kazak
An antique Caucasian Kilim Kazak rug (possible Shahsavan) - Wool on wool. 19/20th century A piece of tribal art with natural distressed color wear from the use, wich give the rug a more natural and historic look. The rug, with a rare geometric weaving design, features 5 columns of 8 rows of straight Kaikalak motifs. No sewn-on fringes. The fringes form the end of the warp yarns and are therefore an integral part of the rug as a genuine rug should be, His density of knots is signal of extreme quality with far more than 200.000 per m2. Needs a very little repair (see photo)
