Empire-inspired sofa with scrolled arms, openwork back decorated with classical kraters and palmettes, and seat upholstered in ornamental striped fabric. The archaeological-inspired carving and the symmetrical composition evoke the French Neoclassical decorative style developed during the first third of the 19th century.
