19th Century Burmese Reliquary - Lacquered and gilded wood with inlays. Measures 78 x 30 cm. Reliquary offering box in the form of a stepped stupa, composed of a globular body and a tall central spire articulated by successive, decreasing circular registers. The surface is richly decorated with vegetal scrolls, floral motifs, and small, lustrous inlays distributed in ornamental bands. The structure combines vertical monumentality with decorative refinement, evoking the sacred Buddhist architecture of Southeast Asia. The gilding shows wear and patina from devotional use, which accentuate the ritual character of the piece. The ornamental complexity and the balance of proportions reflect the artisanal sophistication of 19th-century Burma, where this type of reliquary served ceremonial functions related to the preservation of sacred objects and religious offerings. 78 x 30 cm.
