LAMPERTI E GARBAGNATI – ZEISS Optical bench with Zeiss lens, first half of the 20th century - Optical laboratory bench manufactured by the Italian firm Lamperti e Garbagnati, equipped with a Zeiss lens, from one of the most prestigious manufacturers of scientific optics. This type of instrument was used in physics and optics laboratories for the study and demonstration of phenomena related to light propagation, image formation, and experimentation with lens systems. Optical benches consist of a graduated scale or rail on which various supports slide to hold light sources, lenses, screens, or other optical elements, allowing for precise adjustment of the distances between them during experiments.
