Bracelet with a hanging cross. Red coral, ebonite, and gilt-plated silver. Torre del Greco. 20th century - Natural red coral, polished black ebonite, gold and silver-plated details. Adjustable size; cross 3 x 1 cm. Vintage bracelet made with alternating pieces of natural coral and cylindrical elements of polished black ebonite, separated by gold details that rhythmically order the composition. A small cross made of coral beads and gold-plated settings hangs from the center, an element that introduces a distinct devotional character. The contrast between the red of the coral, the deep black of the ebonite, and the warm reflections of the metal gives visual impact to the piece. The bracelet is linked to the craftsmanship of Torre del Greco, Naples, a center traditionally associated with coral work, and retains an adjustable structure typical of 20th-century vintage jewelry.
